Who We Are, Mission
Beverly’s Home Health Care’s mission is to open our hearts and use our professional expertise to provide comprehensive, high-quality and compassionate in-home care for your loved ones. We serve youth and adults who are homebound due to chronic illness, age, or temporary disability and seek to make a positive difference in their lives.
Founded in 1996 by a longtime caregiver, Beverly’s Home Health Care strives, in every service that we provide, to become a national model for home care, continuity of care and care coordination. We strive to offer the individuals and families that we serve—regardless of their backgrounds—opportunities to overcome the inevitable difficulties they will face, reduce caregiver fatigue and achieve a greater degree of independence, by not only offering services that they need to improve their lives, but by providing basic education for clients and loved ones in support of care and teaching them to use available tools in self-sufficiency, where possible. It takes a village. We believe maintaining a close working relationship with family members, the attending physician and the hospital home health care department is essential for care coordination.
BHHC’s places high value on honesty, integrity, and compassion. Accordingly “Beverly’s Care Philosophy” is based on the 3 key principles of Trust, Personalization and Independence:
- Trust: Keeping your family member safe and protected is essential. We earn client and family member trust by providing exemplary care and consistent client service, never compromising on care. We provide ongoing oversight and supervision of our fully vetted and trustworthy staff to ensure that everything is going well in the home and that the care plan is executed as designed.
- Personalization: We recognize that each client is different. Our approach develops services to meet each client’s physical and psychological needs. Each client undergoes an assessment to develop an individualized care plan. After assessment, options are presented to the client and their family for how best to address the individual need.
- Independence (Self-Sufficiency): We understand an individual’s wish to stay at home as long as possible avoiding institutional care. The goal of care is to assist the client to obtain a degree of independence with a focus on safety, dignity and quality of life in their own home.
Beverly’s Home Health Care’s roots lie in close to 35 years of successful care giving that has helped thousands of clients who remained in their homes in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island and Nassau county, maintain a sense of dignity and independence.
Founder Beverly, a Geriatric Care Manager was encouraged to open her own agency by a patient who was in her care. As a caregiver herself, Beverly wanted to ensure her health aides provided the same level of care she did. Beverly’s great success as a caregiver, consistently praised by clients and family members, led to the development of Beverly’s Home Health Care. As an entrepreneur, her focus has been on growing an agency grounded in placing the needs of the client first and ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality care. Today, her unwavering commitment to her clients, particularly the elderly, remains and can be seen in how each case is treated.
